Linger in your hold

The night is old and exhausted to hear
My griefs and sentiments and fear
To let it out at once with the coldness
And the numbness and your carelessness

Rain softly pours outside along with
The melody I created upon the death
Of my sense and your presence both
(In my heart sadness was you quoth!)

The rain did fall but no tender pours
Might keep my heart in and shut those doors
And leave it sealed till you have awakened,
Till recovered is the love you have forsaken…

The truth remains we are bound by duties,
But I’ll be with you to fulfill those responsibilities.
Worry no more, I will constantly remind you
Of all that you have forgotten to do.

Be afraid not of what we shared,
Of what we fail to, of what we less cared,
Of what we are dastard of and against all
-Together we will surpass through this rise and fall.

Uncast your doubts about me, offer me the trust
And the pledge that your love will not rust;
Be gentle with my frail heart, be no more cold
And I will linger solely in your hold.
