I happened to spend time with this young couple last week. They were fun to be with, lively and in love with each other. I was amazed tbh. I guess that’s what young love is about. However, I got this question in my head… What is love? So I asked some of my friends (including the young man) and this is what they said…

Joseph (23): Love is putting someone’s needs before yours.

Dennis (34): Love is unexpected/unpredictable feelings for someone that changes your whole life.

Edlien (24): When you’re in love, you don’t care what other people think about you. As long as you two are contented and happy that’s more than enough.

Jocemel: For me, love can be defined as meeting a wonderful man in your life, who helps balance your whole world, who isn’t perfect, but is perfect for you. Who works hard and would do anything for you, who makes you laugh and drives you crazy, who is your best friend and sometimes your only friend, who you want to grow old with. (And I finally met that  wonderful man.)

Melvin: Love is a friendship that has caught fire. It is quite understanding, has confidence, sharing, and forgiving. It is loyalty (through good and bad times). It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
